helping children break their chains
OUR MISSION
breakING The cycle of POVERTY, ABUSE, ABANDONMENT, & SLAVERY
BREAKING THE CYCLE OF POVERTY, SLAVERY ABANDONMENT, & ABUSE
We seek to provide all of our children with a well-round, hands-on approach to their great potential. We empower them by means of discovering their ‘Why’ statement, to financial literacy, etiquette, interview skills, historical theory, technical application, English, internships and finally with job placement. Equipping them with opportunity, tools, and love we can change the trajectory of their lives and the lives of generations to follow.
IMAGINE IF AN ENTIRE GENERATION OF ORPHANS ROSE UP TO BECOME THE CHANGE AGENTS OF AN ENTIRE CITY.
7 years ago we set out to create programs that would bridge the gap between business and the children
and youth and of both, a given region and were abandoned, abused, and lived in poverty.
Now in 2019 we’ve ‘broken ground’ right here in Mendoza, Argentina. I’m Mariagrazia Lauricella, the
founder of Humanity Del Sol, Inc. a USA Federally accredited 501 c(3) Non-profit Organization.
In February of 2012 I was invited by the founder of a children’s home in San Roque, Mendoza, Dr. Charles
Travis. Invited to meet the children of the Quinta Betel children’s home, I was to explore all
options in which I could lend support through my art and tourism background.
You see, Quinta Betel and 8 others like it, is a home where children are taken from the state
away from their high trauma situation. The children in this home and others like it are then
left there by choice of the child’s family.
ESSENTIALLY THESE CHILDREN ARE LEFT AS ORPHANS AFTER
EXPERIENCING SEVERE ABUSE, MULISTATION AND OTHER HIGH-RISK  SITUATIONS.
Upon taking a break from daily life at the children’s home, toward the end of my trip we visited one of
Argentina’s largest wine exporters and tourist attractions...
the Santa Julia Bodega in Maipu. I saw the clear connection between the tourism industry and how it
could be the bridge to sustainable revenue for the children’s home and a place for the youth to
            learn real world work experiences.
On the following evening is when I first felt the hug of a child who knew not the love of a parent,
I felt a strength I never knew They held onto me as if it might be the last time we would ever hold
each other. In fact, they knew better and were right. Most of those children on my first visit to the Quinta Betel, I would never hold again. The pain I felt from
this reality pierced my heart with a lingering torment, difficult to fully express... I was determined and confirmed to be the different kind of parent that these
children needed. I vowed to help them be all that they could be.
SO I SET OUT TO CREATE A LEGAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT COULD BE THE VEHICLE FOR THESE CHILDREN AND COMMUNITY.

FAQ's
Who is Humanity Del Sol, Inc.
We are a USA Federally Accredited 501 C 3 Organziation that stands to break the cycle of abuse, slavery, abandonment and poverty. By contributing measurably through the creation of high-impact, solution-based education and therapies programs for children and young people, we bridge together fragmented communities. Our projects are rooted in love, community involvement by way of non-formal and livelihoods education. We also support non-traditional therapy and ongoing mentoring.
Our mission is rooted in the biblical call stated in Isaiah 61:4

What types of projects does Humanity Del Sol do?
Humanity Del Sol projects may be grouped into three areas: 1) short-term emergency relief, such as providing food, shelter and medical care to children and youth in severe circumstance; 2) long-term sustainable community development focusing on helping youth rise up to become lights within their community, meeting the needs and equipping them through education and therapy and empowering them through one on one discipleship and coaching and 3) working with policymakers and the public at the national, regional and global level to build awareness around poverty, abuse, and abandonment and to address the ways in which cycles can be broken.
Is being or becoming a Christian a prerequisite for receiving help?
Service and love are given regardless of the race, creed or nationality of the people we serve. The majority of our team are Christians, however, we will not select children on this basis. We are inspired by Christian values and seek for our work to be a testimony to the example of Jesus Christ.
Is Humanity Del Sol formally tied to or a subsidiary of any other entity?
Humanity Del Sol is an independent private organisation and is not formally affiliated with any government, denomination, foundation or corporation, though it maintains positive working relationships with all of these.

How long has Humanity Del Sol been in operation?
Humanity Del Sol was founded in 2012 by the Mariagrazia Lauricella in response to the needs of Argentine orphans.
What does "child and youth focused" mean?
Children and youth are the most vulnerable members of any community, so Humanity Del Sol programs are designed to have maximum impacts for this sector of society. We want to help equip and empower this segment which will in turn affect the larger context of community. .

If Humanity Del Sol, Inc. isn’t a ‘Religious Organization’ why are there biblical references throughout the organization’s content?
Although the organization is not legally a ‘Religious Organization’ the founder Mariagrazia Lauricella found her faith during the establishment of the organization and was called by God to further specify her purpose and the mission of this organization. Therefore, you’ll find the scriptures that guide the founder, their team, and their mission throughout the organization’s content so that people are fully aware that this movement is not one of only a man’s design.

Is evangelism a part of Humanity Del Sol projects
Humanity Del Sol does not demand that people hear any religious message or convert to Christianity before, during or after receiving assistance. Educational activities based on Christian values are included in Humanity Del Sol programs if and when appropriate. Humanity Del Sol works in partnership with local churches and other faith-based organisations in an effort to work inclusively and collaboratively within existing community needs. Our focus is to respond to humanity’s needs and our love and professionalism reflect our faith.
Do people living in program communities contribute to Humanity Del Sol programs
Communities are a major aspect to our work. They always contribute and have a real sense of ownership and have fully taken on the Humanity Family values. Community participation is integral to transformational development.

Do Humanity Del Sol projects create dependence on outside resources?
No, this is exactly what we seek to avoid. Our programs are designed to be sustainable with locally available resources, technology, materials and leadership. Although the founder is currently in the Director role, she is diligently seeking to replace herself with a local professional.

100% of your donation goes into the program development.
What is Humanity Del Sol program sponsorship all about?
Program sponsorship is an effective and fulfilling way to help give a community of children and youth from orphanages and poor community the chance to fulfilling their potential and life’s dreams.
You’ll choose the type of Program Sponsorship level that is comfortable for you or aligns more closely with your personal mission. This grants you access to our Private Group Communication Channel, where you’ll be able to read more about our partners, the youth involved, our curriculum details and more.
The Program sponsorship is design so that you join a family and a movement not just joining to one child. Your sponsorship will impact dozens of children and one day thousands. Your commitment to a program makes far greater of an impact.
Your relationship with the Humanity Family will be nurtured and guided by our on the ground bilingual speaking program directors, through emails, skype sessions, photos and videos.
Your sponsorship contribution is pooled and combined with all of our other sponsorship donations. This grants us access to needed capital to make wiser and more strategic long-term decisions that will benefit the larger community. This type of sponsorship is a way for us to grow together in a collective movement to true generational and sustainable change.
